Welcome to the 8^th Asian Physics Olympiad(APhO)! Welcome to Shanghai!

Following the success of the foregoing 7 APhOs which were held in April 2000 in Indonesia, April 2001 in Chinese Taibei, May 2002 in Singapore, April 2003 in Thailand, April 2004 in Vietnam, April 2005 in Indonesia and April 2006 in Kazakhstan, the 8^th APhO will be held at the famous Fudan University in Shanghai, China from Aprill 21^st to April 29^th, 2007.

Shanghai is athrill and happy to host the 8^th APhO, with its colorful and rich culture; its speedy developing economy; its unique international architectural style and its wide range of delicious cuisines from Shanghainese and Cantonese to Japanese, French, Italian and Russian. She, with a literally meaning of "a port on the sea", aims to be the:

International Shipping Cente

With many significant international forums successfully held in Shanghai, the 8^th APhO will be showing a success here at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

The 8^th APhO is jointly sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Government; and jointly organized by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and Fudan University. In addition, many Institutions and Organizations, such as the Ministry of Education of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Chinese Physical Society, the Shanghai Physical Society etc. are involved to support this program.
